13) Bumbag

My girlfriend (sorry ladies, already taken 😘) couldn’t find a suitable bag for hiking in any of the shops, and trust me, she did try. So the impetus fell on me…

Here is what I came up with

I used some PVC fabric that was laying around, a 20cm zip and 2cm wide webbing. So that I don’t forget the size, the pattern pieces are below. The gusset was a piece 40x8cm, making the bag 6cm wide. The inside is lined with cotton and the seams are bound by grossgrain.

If I were to make another one, I would attach the straps at a slight angle to the bag to make the whole thing sit a bit better.

But that said, she is happy with it, and so am I
